You say that like it's a bad thing.  Greed is what makes free markets
work efficiently.  When you're buing a product, it's in your best interest
for it to be the case that everyone else buying that product is trying
to maximize the value they receive per money spent.  Similarly, when
you're a seller, it's in your best interest that all the other sellers
are trying to maximize their money received per product sold.

And either there will be people willing to buy that that price, or the
price will drop, or the sellers will stop trying to sell them.
