Compared to what I was using at the time it was very speedy indeed :) I have
good memories of the 3000-300LX purely because that was the machine I taught
myself OSF/1 on over the space of 5 weekends because the bloke who HAD been
looking after these machines upped and left without much warning. Because of
that I subjected myself to many DECstations and Ultrix 4.x stuff purely
because I could, and that helped me with many things I still use today on
the unix front.
