It may be too much; back in the day the 3000-300LX was an OSF 1.3 machine
and it was quite speedy, though having said that my own 3000-300 came with
Tru64 4.0G CDs so 5.x could be OK. I've got easy access to 4.0x CDs if needs
be but since I'm in the UK and currently on the end of a slow DSL connection
then a CD copy and post would be necessary.
