Cleaning gungy Flexowriter

   I'm making good progress on cleaning up the first Flexowriter. Can
anyone tell me how to get the carriage out? Or should I even try?  It looks
like I'm missing the bottom cover off of this one. Anybody have a spare?  A
few of the keycaps are smashed so I'm looking for those if anyone has any
extras.   Pictures and more details later.

   I've been told that Ammonia is good for cleaning rubber and won't damage
it.  Can anyone verify this?
