Disk 1 of 2. These disks contain the program PROCOMM, its
documentation, and several support programs. PROCOMM is
probably the best of the communications programs for MS/DOS
computers. It works with most remote systems, including most
mainframes.

Please note that some of the documentation refers to .ARC
files. Just ignore these references as all parts have been
extracted on these two disks in order that novices may more
easily make the first call. PROCOMM has pretty good on-line
documentation -- just place these files in a subdirectory and
enter PROCOMM<cr> at the DOS system prompt. After
initialization, you will be in terminal mode. Enter AT<cr>.
If "OK" appears on your screen, the modem, cable, and
computer are properly connected and you can dial your first
call by entering <Alt>D. For help at anytime, use <F10>. For
best results, print out the 100+ page documentation.
