1. System BIOS Upgrade Procedure
1. Place the virtual floppy boot image containing the update utility on a TFTP server connected to the management LAN.
2. Boot up the bc1100 server blade, or reboot it if it was already running.
3. When the text-mode VGA first becomes active, a message will be displayed at the bottom of the screen: "Press F2 to enter setup".  Press [ESC] at this time.  This will eventually bring up a menu allowing a user to choose which device to boot from.
4. The BIOS execution will proceed a little further and another message will be displayed: 

Hewlett-Packard Remote Management Circuit Detected
[IP Address]
[Firmware Version]
Press F3 to enter setup

5. Press F3 at this time.  This will take you into the RMC setup menu.
6. In the RMC setup menu, press 'R' to enter the remote boot option menu.
7. Observe whether remote boot is enabled.  If not, press 'R' to toggle to the enabled state.  The remote boot option will only stay enabled for one use and will then be automatically returned to the disabled state.
8. Press 'N' to change the filename of the virtual floppy boot image and 'A' to change the IP of the TFTP server on which it is stored.
9. Return to the main RMC setup menu by pressing 'M'.
10. Exit the RMC setup menu by pressing 'X'.
11. Press 'Y' to reboot the RMC if prompted to do so.
12. After the RMC has completed downloading the floppy image, a menu will appear allowing you to choose which device to boot from.  Choose "Removable Devices".
The system BIOS will be automatically updated.
