The IFlash64 BIOS Update Utility is an EFI application program used for
updating the system BIOS of the rx4610 systems.

RELEASE NOTES FOR IFLASH64 VERSION 1.0

A. CHANGES SINCE THE PREVIOUS VERSION

   First major version.

B. DEPENDENCIES

   1. Requires BIOS 70 or above and FLASH services Ver 0.20.
   2. Executes under the EFI Shell Ver 0.99 or greater.
   3. Volume input files must conform to IFlash64/mFlash64 EPS specification
      and be created with FW Builder v1.0 Build 3 or above.

C. HOW TO USE THIS UTILITY

   1. Boot to the EFI shell.
   2. Copy IFlash64.EFI, IFlash64.hlp, and BIOS binary file (also referred as 
      volume file) to diskette or HD.
   3. Command line Interface

             IFlash64 [File Name] [Options]

      a. To view the command-line help

             IFlash64 /h

      b. To update System BIOS from the command line interface:

             IFlash64 [File Name] /update

      c. To verify System BIOS from the command line interface:

             IFlash64 [File Name] /verify

   4. GUI Interface

             IFlash64 
        or   IFlash64 [File Name]

      Use the arrow keys to browse through the menu and press the <Enter>
      key to select.  A brief description of the selected menu item is
      displayed in the Tip-View window, which is displayed at the bottom of 
      the screen.

      a. To update the System BIOS, from the "BIOS" pull-down menu select 
         "Update System BIOS".
   
      b. To verify the System BIOS, from the "BIOS" pull-down menu select 
         "Verify System BIOS".

      This utility provides a help file (iflash64.hlp) with details on how to
      use this utility and it is accessed from the "Help"/"General Help" menu.

   5. Recovery mode update

      a. Create the "startup.nsh" file using Notepad or any other editor and add
         the following entries (a carriage return is required after each entry):
   
             fs0:
             IFlash64 [File Name]

         where [File Name] is the input volume file provided by BIOS.

      b. Copy the files iflash64.efi, startup.nsh, input volume file, and the
         recovery file (*.rcv) provided by BIOS to a diskette (recovery disk).
      c. Power off the system and set it to recovery mode.  This is usually done
         via a jumper (see the BIOS or system documentation).
      d. Insert the recovery disk in floppy drive and power on the system.
         BIOS update is performed automatically after machine is turned on.  
         Beep and POST codes are provided during the update.  See the BIOS 
         release notes for this information.

   6. Reboot system after the update is completed.
