About a year or so ago I restored over 100 Colorado 120mb QIC tapes used
from 1990-1994 (over 10 years old and not recorded with my drive) without a
single error on any of them. I find the old QIC 120mb tapes to be highly
reliable, but I think my Travan 1.6/3.2GB DITTO drive is a POS and have
since quit using it.
I have a couple DAT 2/4GB and 4/8GB drives that work ok, but I have only had
them for a few years so I don't know how reliable they are over longer
periods of time.
Backing up to 16x DVD+R disks is much faster and cheaper, I wonder if I can
read the files in 10 years.
