Hi Sellam
 I know you are not going to put a lot of effort into
it but the obvious thing would be to swap the part
with the known good unit. This will tell you if it
is the chip or something else.
 Also, have you removed the chip and put some contact
enhancer on it?? ( You know, some silicon grease )
