Top-posting shenanigans (was: Re: ASR33 $1000+ And Counting...)

I use outlook express 99% of the time.  I have been guilty of top posting 
but I try not to.

When I am ready to respond I click on reply then I have to edit out all the 
garbage like repeating the subject line.

By the time I'm finished editing I have to remember what I was going to say.

Top posting is easy, saying it's not a problem if you read the messages in 
order ignores the truth:

If you are following more than one subject or follow them on different days 
it helps to scan over the message being replied to.

With top posting you must scroll down to the original message, read it to 
make sure you understand what is being responded to, scroll back to the 
response and read it.

The truth is most people that don't take the time to think how their posts 
affect others probably haven't taken the time to come up with anything worth 
reading.
