TIFF file formats, errors...

Some quick research shows that Paint Shop Pro 8 should be able to read these... 
  Maybe install WINE and download PSP8 to convert them?

Some more quick research shows it's FAX encoding:

Compression Scheme: CCITT Group 4
Software: "Oi/GFS, writer v00.06.02"

LibTIFF recently fixed a bug regarding these, so try it (source:
