True, but I think a lot of knowledge, professional alignments,
documentation, experimentation, pilot projects, discussions, etc
all happened in the war/post-war era, and without it, the industry
that followed 5, 10, 15 years later couldn't happen.

I don't mean to belabor this, and for me to comment in any more
detail would require Work, and I'm too lazy :-) (actually too
busy)
