I agree that if his presence prevents you from bidding on something for 
fear of getting trumped, it is your issue to deal with.

Now that the context is gone, I'll try to restore it.   you originally 
used bidding against nathan myhrvold as some kind of analogy to 
collusion.  I said it was a bogus comparison.  You confused intimidation 
with threat.  And we ended up here with you asking me to defend 
something I didn't raise (how he could have avoided intimidating you).
