I've played a bit with Wordpress, and it seems reasonably nice and
very easy to set up.

As I understand it Moveable Type used to be (and perhaps still is)
considered the standard, but their licensing took a major turn for
the worse.

For the PDP-1 Restoration Project web site, we wanted something that
would combine a blog, wiki, calendar, and structured web site.  I
suppose what we wanted is a "web portal", though I hate that term
because as far as I can tell it doesn't have any real definition.

I set up Plone (which is built on Zope).  It's fairly nice but does take
more effort to set up.
