Basically I agree with the spirit if not every last word-for-word of 
the responders.

But just a reminder that supercomputers at one time couldn't be 
exported to certain countries presumably because they could
be used to perform nuclear simulations.
Sub-point#2: Desktops are nearing that same compute power
that those supercomputers had then.
