I tried PAM, and it seemed to me to be beading up, rather than wetting the
silicone surface.  I decided not to trust it, and washed it all off, before
using the Vaseline.  I'm sure there's some product made for this, and "only"
$12/bottle...

The RTV silicone (that the molds are made of) is relatively expensive, and
the last thing I wanted to have happen is to find the two halves of the mold
glued together.
