It's a unit number select plug.  Can't tell what for -- not an RA disk
because it's just one digit, and not an RP05/06 because those are 5x
bigger.  RL01/02, RK06/07 -- and were there tape drives that used
these?

There are three fingers on the back that are the binary form of the
unit number.
