Thanks, I found a bunch of half-flash parts on AD's site, pretty
close, thanks.  It got me started looking in the right place.

Maxim has MAX153, somewhat older MAX153, million samples/sec
8 bits, parallel out, 5V, DIP. I asked for samples...
