I'm sure you'll get lots of this sort of reply (sorry :-), but...

Should, at the very least, read:

"However, if your altair32 project is copyrighted by you then he is 
certainly violating your rights.  If it's COPYRIGHTED AND GPL'd then 
probably not."

If you wrote it, its automatically copyrighted by you. GPL'd software 
is copyrighted, and relies on copyright for its power.
