The best we could figure it was some sort of MUX for terminal or modem
sharing.

I'm still not sure, though, but it goes with the machine.

What's that little thing on top of the MV system?  I think I have seen 
something like it,
same kind of box only 3 or 4 of them side-by-side with a dasher 
terminal, Brown color.
