The HSD05 (IIRC) was some 3rd party's low-end design that DEC 
rebadged for a while until they could get their own HSD30
done and dusted. I'm reasonably sure that the HSD30 performance
was better (probably significantly better) but I never had one
to play with so I do not know whether it was significantly
better!
