   *32-bit* Unix goes pop in 2038.  Since every currently-maintained 
Unix (or Unix-alike for you OpenGroup fanatics) runs on 64-bit hardware 
and in 64-bit mode, I don't see it as a problem.

   The fact that most Unix admins are even aware of the 2038 issue 
infers that it won't be the problem that Y2K was.
