Date: 2-MAR-82 To: LX8BIT.SYS users (serial line printer handler) From: Bob Frazer, 1523 Subj: SET options The LX8BIT handler is designed to be a serial line printer replacement for the LP handler under RT11-SJ, and can be installed with a COPY/SYS dev:LX8BIT.SAV name.SYS followed by a reboot. I would suggest using a dummy 'name' to get the SET OPTIONS working before replacing your LP.SYS file. SET name result default ------- ---------------------------------- ------- WIDTH=DDD columns/line, decimal 132 CSR=000000 device RCSR address, octal 176500 VECTOR=000 device RCSR vector, octal 300 LENGTH=DD lines/page, decimal 66 NULLS=DD decimal NULLS after CR, for padding 10 TABS=DD decimal spacing for soft tabs 8 and for column counting (TRUN, WRAP) 8 sets tabs at 9, 17, 25, etc. (NO)HANG hang, or abort, for hardware errors HANG (NO)EIGHT eight-bit, or seven-bit NOEIGHT (NO)LC lower-case, or not LC (NO)CTRL pass control char's, or not NOCTRL (includes null char.)
