ABSTRACT THIS PROGRAM WAS WRITTEN BY ELIE MAY OF THE UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA. THIS PROGRAM CAN BE LINKED TO ANOTHER TO GET DOUBLE PRECISION TIMER SUPPORT WITH AN ACCURACY OF 10 MICRO-SECONDS OR 100 KILOHERTZ USING A KW11P PROGRAMMABLE CLOCK. THIS PROGRAM EXCEPT FOR THE TIME UNITS IS COMPLETELY COMPATIBLE WITH KW11L LINE FREQUENCY TIMER SUPPORT PROGRAM. THE PROGRAM ALLOWS ONE TO INITIALIZE THE CLOCK, STOP THE CLOCK, GET THE CURRENT DOUBLE PRECISION TIME, TWIDDL FOR A TIMING CHECK, AND CONVERT A DOUBLE PRECISION VALUE TO THE ASCII DIGIT STRING IF THE SYSTEM HAS EIS (DIV INSTRUCTION). TO USE DEFINE GLOBALS INITCLK, STPCLK, GETIME, TIMER, TWIDDL,DBL2ASC INITCLK, STPCLK, AND GETIME ARE CALLED BY A JSR PC,SUBROUTINE. TIMER HAS THE CORRECT TIME AFTER A GETIME IS CALLED.
