C T R L C TSX CONTROL-C PROGRAM _____________________________________________ CTRLC is a program designed for use under TSX+ that will make the operating system think that the specified line has typed a ^C, thus aborting its current job. Its use is simple, although there are currently some restrictions. Simply RUN CTRLC, and enter the line number that you want to ^C. CTRLC will work with any configuration of TSX+, and no special drivers or REAL TIME SUPPORT are required - anyone may run it. However, for CTRLC to actually send a ^C to another line, OPERATOR PRIVILEGES are required. Unprivileged users will not be able to ^C another line. To build CTRLC, simply link the object module supplied with the TSX sysbol table (TSX.STB) that was produced during your TSXGEN. EX: LINK CTRLC,TSX.STB ! Build CTRLC R CTRLC ! Run CTRLC Which line to ^C? [enter the line number here ] Job terminated . CTRLC has been tested successfully under TSX+ v5, and should be upward compatable with future versions of TSX+, although no guarantee to this effect is make. RESTRICTIONS: 1 - Requires OPERATOR PRIVILEGE to actually send the ^C. 2 - Will ^C lines 1-99. DO NOT specify a non-existant line ( line #20 on a system having only 10 total lines). System corruption and/or unpredictable results are guaranteed to occur. 3 - An invalid line number ( ex: 2K ) will exit the program with no action taken.
