   Substitution command format:             XXX <Header>~<Y/N><Trailer>~

   XXX     Pseudo Command Name. Up to 3 characters long followed by a space.
           
   Header  Text string that  will precede the user's Command line.  Terminated
           by a tilde "~" character.  It will replace the user's command name.
           
   Y/N     Must be a Y or a N.  Y specifies that ".*;*"  should be added after
           the user's command line, only if the text from the user didn't con-
           tain a period.  (Effectively adds wild card spec's to a file name.)
           
   Trailer Is a text string that will be added after  the users  command line.
           (The tilde terminator is optional.)
 
   `       Duplicate the user's command line, (less command name and space.)

	INITIAL LOAD:

	On start-up,  ECR attempts to load up to 48 substitution  commands
	from the file "ECR.CMD" (from the current default device and UIC.)

	o  Text must be all upper case.

        o  Lines are expected to be up to 40 characters (before expansion.)

	o  Lines over 40 characters long will be processed,  but characters
           #41 thru 43 will be interperted as another command name. and can
	   therefore cause confusion to the user.

	COMMAND VIEW:

	The control-Y key causes ECR to display the current commands.

	COMMAND RELOAD:

	The control-N key causes ECR to erase ALL current commands and to
	attempt to re-read "ECR.CMD" from the current default device and UIC.

			NOTES ON DEFAULT NAME MODE

	ECR has the ability to remember  the last filespec typed and to
	continue to use this default if one types a  subsequent command
	without any text following the task name.

	This mode is  initially set  "OFF" but can  be toggled "ON" and
	"OFF" by the control-G key.

	The default name can be reset by typing a command with any text
	following the command name.  The default name can be cleared by
	turning default mode off and then on again.

	Sample use: (assuming edm, max and link are stored commands)
