VT220 function key programmer task: KEY The KEY task will allow a user to program the function keys of a VT220 type terminal. Only the shifted function keys are programmable, and they must be programmed by escape sequences from the host computer. They cannot be programmed in SETUP mode. An aggregate maximum of 256 bytes can be stored in a VT220 for key programming. The KEY task will work in three modes. It will program keys on the fly, it will program keys on the fly AND record those commands in a text file, or it will read an existing text file and use the commands contained therein to program the keys. The KEY task is written in OMSI Pascal 2.1. For that reason, we cannot distribute it in rebuildable form. The KEY.TSK should run on a lot of systems as is. It was built non privledged with no resident library linkages on an MPLUS V3.0 Update B level operating system. The main source module KEY.PAS is also included to provide an example of how you could code up a similar program in another high level language. (ie. what escape codes for what keys). We can supply full sources to anyone who has an OMSI Pascal-2 license.
