VTECO.SAV and STECO.SAV GAMMA-11 V2.4 UNSUPPORTED SOFTWARE The files VTECO.SAV, AND STECO.SAV are unsupported utility files on the GAMMA-11 V2.4 distribution disk. TECO for VSV01 VTECO (for the VSV01) is a version of TECO-11 which uses the VSV01 color display in a manner similar to that which TECO uses the VT11 graphics display. VTECO will display 12 lines of text before and after the TECO text pointer on the display scope. See page A-5 of the TECO manual for an explanation of the VT11 support. VTECO checks for the existence of a display before referencing it, therefore it can be used on a system without a display in the normal (non-display) manner. VTECO does not support lower case characters on the VSV-01 screen, but it is possible to work with it in the lower case mode by setting the appropriate terminal flag - e.g. by giving the command 4ET$$ when working on a printer terminal. Line continuation is supported, but no special character is output to denote a continued line. The TECO text pointer is indicated by a double cursor which appears under the character before and the character after the TECO text pointer. Four special cases exist: 1. When the pointer is at the beginning of a line, one cursor appears under the first character of the line. 2. If the text pointer is before a carriage return, one cursor appears at the end of the line and one at the beginning of the same line. 3. If the text pointer is between a CR-LF pair, the cursors apppear at the beginning of each line. 4. If the the pointer is at the end of the buffer, one cursor appears under the last character of the buffer. STECO for VT-01 STECO.SAV uses the VT-01 storage scope display in the same manner VTECO uses the VSV-01.
