INSFL.DOC RSX-11M+ has one special account character, the dollar sign, which designates [SYSUIC]/[LIBUIC] when used in a RUN or INS command. When you type "INS $task" or "RUN $task/CMD=..." INS will search as follows: LB:[SYSUIC]task LB:[LIBUIC]task LB:[SYSUIC]taskRES LB:[LIBUIC]taskRES LB:[SYSUIC]taskFSL LB:[LIBUIC]taskFSL LB:[SYSUIC]taskANS LB:[LIBUIC]taskANS or say "INS -- File not found". This patch to module INSFL (M+ V2.1) modifies INS to accept #task as it would $task and is interpreted as [SYSGRP,SYSMBR+1]/ [LIBGRP,LIBMBR+1], typically [1,55] and [3,55]. This is useful for keeping user-written privileged system tasks and utilities and DECUS programs separate from the regular RSX distribution tasks. You might use [1,55] for privileged tasks and [3,55] for non-privileged tasks. Copy the SLP file and apply the patch. Assemble the new source with your EXEMC.MLB and RSXMC.MAC. Make a copy of [1,24]INS.OLB and replace the new object. Taskbuild using [1,24]INSBLD.CMD or use SYSGEN.
