Here are the files for Apple ][ DOS KERMIT-65: APPLE.RNO (and APPLE.MEM) - Documentation on how to bootstrap KERMIT-65 onto an Apple, the differences between KERMIT-65 and KERMIT-80, and instructions on how to build KERMIT-65 from the source. .RNO is a source file for the DEC text formatter, RUNOFF. APPLEK.M65 - The source for KERMIT-65. Can be assembled only by the CROSS cross-assembler on the DECsystem-10 or DECSYSTEM-20, which is in fact a PDP-11 cross assembler modified to generate code for the 6502 and several other micros from what looks like PDP-11 assembler source. APPLBT.FOR - TOPS-10 or TOPS-20 end of initial bootstrap program. Should run with minor modifications on any system that has Fortran. APPLBT.BAS - Apple ][ half of bootstrap program. APPHXL.M65 - Program to load a .HEX file into memory on the Apple. This is currently only really useful in the bootstrap process, since it reads the .HEX file from the communications card, not from disk. APPHXL.HEX - The assembled copy of APPHXL.M65. This is the file that APPLBT actually transfers. (The bootstrap process is a little clumsy on the Apple ][ due to some of its idiosyncracies.) APPDC2.HEX - KERMIT-65 assembled for an Apple ][ with a DC Hayes Micromodem in slot #2. APPAC2.HEX - KERMIT-65 assembled for an Apple ][ with a communications card in slot #2. Currently the installation instructions in APPLE.RNO refer to all of the above. All of the KERMIT-65 programming and documentation was done by Antonino N. J. Mione of the Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, N.J., April 1983.
