The STOP command. 18-MAY-81 --- ---- -------- The STOP command provides a useful alternative to the ABORT command. Its function is to abort all tasks that are running at the issuing terminal regardless of their task name. Hence, where a user could type ABO F4P or ABO PIP the STOP command (with no parameters) in the form STOP will accomplish the same function, without having to type in the name of the task you want to abort. All tasks, except STOP itself and MCR, will be aborted and will produce the normal termination message. If issued in a batch job, the STOP command will cause the job to terminate. Please do not use the STOP command if you are running a program that plots on the Printronix printer/plotter, and the program has finished, but the plot is in progress or has not yet appeared. This action will leave you with a large work file on disk and will prevent the system from printing any more print jobs until the LPSTART command is issued from TT0:. For various reasons connected with the operation of the system, the STOP command will have no effect from TT0: or CO:.
