PSE is error logging's preformatting task. It forms a snapshot of [1,6]ERR.TMP (the file to which ERL is continually writing error data) and renames this temporary snapshot [1,6]ERROR.TMP. PSE reformats the raw data and generates or extends ERROR.SYS. ERROR.SYS is then suitable input for the report generator, SYE. To run PSE: PSE should be installed from a privileged terminal. It can then be run from any terminal. Type : >PSE PSE>outdev:[ufd]file.typ=indev: or on one line: PSE outdev:[ufd]file.typ=indev: The input UFD and file to PSE are always [1,6]ERROR.TMP. The input device, output device, UFD and file name and type may be specified at run time. The defaults for omitted fields are: Field Default _____ _______ outdev: SY0: [ufd] [1,6] file ERROR .typ .SYS indev: SY0:
