If dev absent, assumes default. uic [User Identification Code] The UIC consists of two octal numbers (0-377(8)), a group number and a member number, separated by commas and enclosed in brackets "[" & "]". If uic absent, assumes default. name 1-9 alphanumeric characters. ext A three letter extension describing the type of file. The period is required syntax. If ext absent, assumes default. Example: The program SECTION assumes SCT. ver Version Number. A number from 1 to 7777(8). Each time a file is edited or created its version number is incremented by 1(8). The semi-colon (;) is required syntax. If ver absent, the system defaults to reading the file with the highest version number (or writing out a file with a version number 1(8) higher thathe previous higher version).
