XMLIST is a hack to do a "background" refresh of the database maintained by the MLIST program (rather than to add a MACRO-20 interface to the QUASAR facility similar to the one written for PASCAL-20 at Rutgers University). The batch job submitted by XMLIST creates a "lock file" to prevent simultaneous access to the MLIST database during a "refresh", and deletes the lock file when the refresh is complete. For a complete up-to-date release of the PASCAL-20 interface to QUASAR, please contact Rutgers University. A portion of the PASCAL-20 QUASAR interface facility is included here only to be able to build XMLIST from sources.
